Happy September! I hope you all have some fun plans to celebrate the three-day weekend. I am looking forward to getting out into nature for some mountain biking!

Here at CME, we have been busy wrapping up our beginning-of-year i-Ready assessments, and our students have been working incredibly hard. Next week, we will be kicking off our Ninja Nation Fundraiser, so stay tuned for more details!

Things are finally falling into place for our Outdoor Learning Garden, and we have some incredible news and milestones to share with our community!

Greetings Copper Mesa Families!

What a fantastic start to the year we have had here at CME! We welcomed our Kindergarteners on Monday and they have been doing an amazing job learning about being little students. The cuteness factor is 11/10!! We hope to see you all at Back to School Night on Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM on the field. A big shout out to our CMEA PTO for organizing this fun yearly event!

Hello Cougar Families!

What an incredible first week! I hope that you all had a beautiful summer and enjoyed lots of time with family and friends. My husband and I took a trip to Europe and visited Venice, Geneva, and Nice. We had such a wonderful time walking and eating and exploring new cultures!

As I sit down to write this final School Blast of the year, my heart is incredibly full. We are wrapping up a truly phenomenal school year, and I am bursting with pride over our students. Their academic and personal growth this year has been absolutely outstanding, and watching them blossom has been the greatest joy.

Dear Cougar Families,

It has been an absolutely vibrant week at our school, and my heart is full seeing our building buzzing with so much excitement and community spirit! We kicked off the festivities with our first graders' American Symbols Program. Their patriotic songs were truly moving and brought tears to my eyes. Our third graders also blew us away with their Wax Museum, showcasing incredible research as they "brought to life" famous historical figures in full costume. Not to be outdone, our second graders displayed impressive engineering and empathy with their Zoo Projects, where their creative dioramas and design boards showed just how much they learned about animal habitats. It was wonderful to see so many families in the hallways celebrating these milestones with us!

I wanted to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community for the outpouring of kindness shown to our staff this week. Walking into the staff lounge felt like stepping right onto the set of Friends. From the "Central Perk" coffee vibes to the creative, themed treats, the attention to detail was absolutely "point-on." It was, quite simply, the cutest transformation we’ve ever seen!

We are officially rounding the corner into our final month of school! April has been a fantastic month of growth, and as we look toward May, I am making a conscious effort to slow down and truly enjoy these happy days leading up to summer. I hope you all find moments to do the same!
