Dear Cougar Fams,

What an incredible week of connection this has been so far at CME with Conference Week! We are always so grateful to our PTO and parents for bringing fun snacks and dinner to keep us all going. As we move toward Spring Break, we are committed to keeping the learning going with our students. I hope you and your family have some fun things planned for break. Remember that our BASE is open and has some great field trips planned.

Hello CME families!

We are cruising through February! I hope you all had a great 4 day weekend together last week. The weather was beautiful so we got to get outside with our dogs. We recently adopted a sweet little Border Collie with a ton of energy that matches our other dog. We finally become empty nesters and we decide to have two dogs to ensure maximum chaos in the Wain home! Below you can see two pictures that speak volumes!

We are well on our way into February now! The weather would say differently, but I am not complaining (I’ll probably complain later)! We had a classroom plank contest for Wellness Wednesday, and I had some kiddos come down to claim their prize after holding a plank for more than 3 minutes!! Wow! I was quite impressed!

We are finally into February after enjoying 692 days of January! This week we are excited to watch our 5th graders perform Dancing Through the Decades. If you and the fam are looking for some fun evening entertainment, join us on Thursday, February 5th at 6:00 pm for a fun-filled blast from your high school past!

I hope your week is going beautifully and that you are settling into the rhythm of January with ease! I was recently listening to a podcast that explored the natural necessity of finding rest and comfort during these winter months. It was a lovely reminder that, just like the world outside, we also need to slow down and rejuvenate alongside nature. I’ve been trying to truly embrace that "wintering" mindset lately by being more intentional and mindful of my evening and weekend time. I hope you can find a moment to do the same. Consider this your permission to grab a favorite book and a warm blanket, and make some well-deserved time for coziness!
