Hello Copper Mesa Families!

I wanted to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community for the outpouring of kindness shown to our staff this week. Walking into the staff lounge felt like stepping right onto the set of Friends. From the "Central Perk" coffee vibes to the creative, themed treats, the attention to detail was absolutely "point-on." It was, quite simply, the cutest transformation we’ve ever seen!

We are officially rounding the corner into our final month of school! April has been a fantastic month of growth, and as we look toward May, I am making a conscious effort to slow down and truly enjoy these happy days leading up to summer. I hope you all find moments to do the same!

I hope this communication finds you happy and healthy! Here at CME, we have been enjoying some beautiful outside weather for recess. This Friday, our staff will be engaging in Professional Development and then on Monday, everyone gets the day off! We are getting down to the wire…some students just told me there are 24 days of school left. How did this year just fly by?

I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to our Spring Auction put on by our amazing PTO! It is 80’s themed and I have my outfit all picked out. There will be options to bid on some baskets or buy raffle tickets to get put into a drawing for others. Tickets are on sale now and will also be available at the event. Bring your neighbors and we’ll see you all at Max Taps on Saturday evening!

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been filled with lots of joy. I am especially loving the leaves that are popping up on the trees and the grass beginning to get green! It is weird because it seems like we skipped over winter, but who am I to complain…but I will this summer.

It is so wonderful to see the leaves finally starting to "pop" on our trees and that spring energy filling our hallways. As we gear up for CMAS, we are shifting our focus to celebration and school spirit!

We are off and running after a very refreshing Spring Break! We are in the final preparations for CMAS which starts on April 6th for our 3rd-6th graders. If you have any questions regarding state mandated testing, please reach out to Mrs. Andersen or your child’s teacher. We are all so excited for Spring Break! I wish you all a wonderful week regardless of what adventure you choose! My adventure will be hanging at home with my two doggies and maybe having a spa day. It will be a much needed week of rest!
