Hello CME Community!

What a fun week this has been! Meet and Greet was a great success and we felt so lucky to have a positive and loving community show up with supplies and smiles to meet their new teachers! Our staff spent so much time getting their rooms ready for the return of our students. Our theme this year is kindness, so the quote you will be hearing a lot is “Kindness is Free. Share it generously!”

Ms. Andersen and I have been walking around to rooms and talking to kids these last two days. Teachers are establishing routines and expectations to set everyone up for success. At Meet and Greet, I mentioned that we are focused on the concept of ‘All means All’. We are committed to using essential standards (major work of the grade) and data to create a more personalized experience for each and every student’s growth.

I would like to send a big shout out to our amazing PTO! They have already sent out their grant applications to our teachers to get teachers what they need in their classrooms to make your kiddos’ experience the very best it can be. PTO is busy planning and organizing our Back to School event which will take place on Friday, AUGUST 16th from 5:00-8:00 pm out on our field. Please mark your calendars and join our community in a ton of fun to kick off our school year!

Hey! I wanted to mention that we are still in search of an Educational Assistant IV. This position supports our Significant Needs Program. This is an amazing and fulfilling position with a wonderful team of people! If you are interested in applying for the position, visit the DCSD site for more information! I would like to end by telling you how honored I am to be the principal of such a wonderful school! The staff, students, and community are second to none. I love my job so much and look forward to a fantastic year! My door is always open, so reach out for anything you need!

CHOIR UPDATE!!

Hello Choir Families and welcome back to what I know will be a fabulous new school year! I actually have some very exciting personal news to share…I am getting married on December 14th! With a wedding coming up in just 4 months I decided not to teach choir the first semester as I will need to spend my brain energy on preparing well for this incredible life transition!

I will send out information after Christmas Break so that we can jump back in for the Spring Semester!
