News from Candice

Hello CME Families! After our extended weekend last week, we are starting to get back into the swing of things. This week we have been having so much fun with gratitude and kindness! We wish you all the same!!

Book Fair - Our Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing. You still have time to drop in and grab some new books for your kiddos. Thursday after school, Ms. Andersen and I will be reading to students so come join us for some story time! All proceeds from our Book Fair go to our library so we can buy new books for everyone.

Secret Spirit Days – Shhh…don’t tell your kids because this is just too much fun. On Tuesday our staff had a secret spirit day called Anything But a Cup. We brought our coffee, water, juice, etc. in something besides a cup. Click here to see the things our teachers came up with! I heard some really funny comments from students who were quite confused! Ms. Squire had a blender filled with water, and here’s what Holden said, “Oh geez, that is a giant water bottle! It’s like a Stanley, but not.” I was wearing a Camel Back and a student asked me if I was hiking! LOL! We will have a few more of these this year, so don’t tell on us!!

National School Psychologist Week - We are celebrating our School Psychologist, Emily Bryant and her intern, Joseph Licata, this week! Emily and Joe have been supporting our students by teaching them important skills to support their social and emotional well-being so that they can access their learning in their classroom. We are so thankful to Emily for all she does for our students and community here at CME!!

Open till 4:45pm tonight and from 7:45am to 9:00am tomorrow morning!

OPEN ENROLLMENT:

Open enrollment is now open! If you are an existing open enrollment family and you have an incoming kindergartener, you will need to open enroll your Kindie! Here is the OE page! If you know anyone interested in coming to Copper Mesa from outside our boundaries, let them know OE is now open until December 2nd at 4pm.

ORIGINAL WORKS:

The first round of Original Works orders was due yesterday, but there's still time to place your order! We will continue accepting orders until December 6th.
